VOTER REGISTRATION

You MUST register to vote if voting for the first time. Re-register if you have changed your address or changed your name.

The special election voter registration deadline is Wednesday, July 8, 2009

For the 2010 elections, registration forms must be received or postmarked on or before August 19, 2010 (Primary election voter registration deadline).

NOTE:The Voter registration application form is available for download for individual use. Any reproduction for widespread distribution must be approved by the Office of Elections. Please contact us for more information.

ABSENTEE VOTING
Absentee Voting [pdf download] Here you can find information on how to vote early.

Any person registered to vote may cast an absentee ballot.

If you cannot vote at your polling place for any reason, or you will be absent from the State of Hawaii on election day, you may vote using an absentee ballot.

Applications for absentee ballot are no longer accepted at this time. Forms will be made available prior to the next scheduled election in 2010.


WHAT'S NEW (Check for updates)

2009 Special Election Council District V

A vote-by-mail special election will be held to fill a vacancy on the Honolulu City Council due to the recent passing of Councilmember Duke Bainum. The special election will be "held" on Friday, August 7, 2009.

Vote by mail ballot packets will be mailed to voters on July 17, 2009.
