WHAT is a Deputy Voter Registrar?
A Deputy Voter Registrar is a volunteer certified by the City Clerk to distribute, collect, and remit completed registration affidavits to the City/County Clerk.
WHO may volunteer?
Any person may volunteer to be a Deputy Voter Registrar in the county in which s/he resides. However, no candidate for office may serve as a registrar. The City Clerk reserves to right to refuse or revoke a deputy voter registrar commission if the City Clerk believes that person may not be able perform the duties and responsibilities in a manner that promotes public confidence and integrity in the elections process.
